Kaspersky Lets You Control Your Phone’s Antivirus via Your Smartwatch
Security Update : Kaspersky has released an updated version of their antivirus product for Android devices that comes with a built-in feature that lets users get reports from their AV right on their smartwatch, and then send back actions to take.
With the proliferation of smartphones and smartwatches among tech-savvy users, it was pretty obvious that the connection between these two could be leveraged to create a better security model for handheld devices.
The latest version of the Kaspersky Internet Security for Android suite now features an option to pair a mobile that runs the security app with a smartwatch and use it as a control center.
Users can select to receive notifications on their smartwatch whenever a threat is detected on the device. They can then tell the phone to quarantine the virus, remove it, start a scan, and even initiate a virus database update.
