Anonymous Ghost Squad Hackers Take Down Black Lives Matter Website
Security Update : In a surprising turn of events, Ghost Squad Hackers, one of the Anonymous subdivisions carrying out DDoS attacks against KKK members has turned on its heels this past weekend and launched similar attacks against the Black Lives Matter movement as well.
The attacks took place yesterday and the Black Lives Matter organization was forced to take down their website for most of the day. The website is up and running at the time of writing.
The Black Lives Matter movement originated in the African-American community and started in 2013 after the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of African-American teen Trayvon Martin. The organization campaigns for the rights of black people and against racially motivated violence against black people in the US.
On the other hand, Ghost Squad Hackers are one of Anonymous most active subdivisions being extremely involved in the #OpKKK movement.
